My name is Lucie Petráková, at the moment among other things, I’m a student of combined program of English for Education at Masaryk University in Brno. I’ve been studying English ever since I can remember. I began learning in preschool, although I started my first formal classes in the 5th grade.

In high school, English was my second foreign language and later on I attended a year-long study program of English accomplished by passing the FCE. In University I was required to pass an exam in medical English. Even though English wasn’t always the number one language for me, around the age of 17 I got my first English book and the rest is history.

English books, movies and series has accompanied me in my life, and even today when time is scarce, I manage to find the time to read before I go to sleep or when I need to relax a little. Even though I have a master’s degree in a different field, I turned to English when I needed to change my profession.
